I await Woman's governing

Like Cohen, I await woman's governing
but am distressed by their evolution.
By those I observe and meet
who do much to avert revolution of habit,
yet mimic the oppression historically chronicled
by those who fought
flailed
suffered and failed.

They exact arbitrary revenge
on those with whom they have shared intimacy.
